Founder President's Short Biography

Mr. Karna Singh Gurung President

A credit of the founder for "Hope Nepal Organization" goes to a medium height and dark skinned man who is honest, generous, friendly, kind, cheerful and helpful to everybody in every moment, that he is known with the name of Mr. Karna Singh Gurung. He was neither from a novel nor a well learned family, he was simply from a remote area of western part of Nepal where almost of the people are poor, uneducated and depending on primitive, unproductive or unscientific Agricultural Methods, even today.

He was born in a Gurkha Army Family as a last child for his parents on June 05, 1968. It might not be good for him, if we reck-out his earlier career in education because he was from a local school until his Middle School level where they didn't have a proper school during that time. His schooling doesn't seem to be regular, proper & systematic until Middle School level. Only after the completion of his High School in 1985, he moved to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal for a University.

However, its fact that he was a real enthusiastic, optimistic and laborious from his childhood. Before his twenties, he owned his own small industry and store. Unfortunately, he lost them all after sometimes because of improper management and support from seniors or friends.

After the loss in Business, he changed his way to job along-with the studies in a University. He worked for several Government as well as Private Business Offices, especially in Administration Department. He worked as a Teacher, Secretary for VDC, Front Desk Officer as well as Administrative Officer in several 4 & 5 Star Hotels, and Executive Officer in several reputed Trek & Travel Agencies unto the Managerial Position in the town.

His further optimism led him abroad seeking job & opportunities. He was dreaming of a owner in one of the reputed Company in the town. But all of his plans shattered into pieces like a glass which was difficult for him to handle properly. It was indeed a tough challenge for his life, he slowly handled it to turn into the blessings.

It's his speciality that we're never able to find him out in anxiety or sorrow, even in the moment of unusual unsuccess, hardship or lack. He rather accepts all challenges with full of joy to convert them into the blessings. For it he says, "Problem is an opportunity and success is the blessing for me." He further adds that everything is possible for everyone, if one has patience or fair faith in it.

In the field of Educational Qualification, he cleared his Bachelor Degree majoring both in Political Science and English Literature from the University Board of His Majesty's Government of Nepal. And he finally got Master's Degree from South Korea.

At present, he is changed to a man of service. He enjoys in serving and helping the helpless, jobless, needy and poors all the time. He says that he didn't have any fact information about the situation of the nation while he was there because he was seeking good opportunity and chance for himself alone. According to him, the Korean Television Channels opened his eyes with a real situation of his own country. In this he says, "Now, I would like to serve my nation and its people for rest of my life. I wanna see all of them have food, good education, proper medical facilities, especially for those who are poor and in need."

For this reason, He works day and night designing and planning for the betterment of others including Migrant Workers from Nepal and other nations into the Korean Peninsula. He prefers to serve all others to his possible capacity. He loves his nation and its people very much adding, "mother & motherland are equally important in my sight." The development and progress of the nation depends upon our consciousness, not blaming to others. It's our bad culture to blame others and follow their way when the turn comes, he says.

As a result of all his both good and bitter experiences in life, now he has been able to establish Non Government Organization under the name of "Hope Nepal Organization" in the heart of Kathmandu, the Capital city of Nepal. This Organization has tried its best to comprise members from different parts of the nation from different fields to work together with a motto of establishing a real "Philanthropic (human-loving) Society" in the Nepalese soil urging on "moral development or consciousness."

This Organization has designed a very suitable plan to give chances for all interested members to serve the Society after obtaining General Membership in completion of necessary training & courses conducted by the Head Office of this Organization in Kathmandu / Nepal.

We are really thankful & appreciate his efficient management and all efforts to lead this Organization for achieving service goals. We also wish him a successful journey in the way of service implementation with new plans and visions to make them transparent in the Nepalese Society.

Therefore, we pray him for the blessings of knowledge & wisdom to lead this Organization successfully, even requesting all human loving brothers and sisters to extend your precious hand and co-operations to our founder/president of "Hope Nepal Organization."
